In this role, you will work together with European companies on a cutting-edge European satellite communication project.
The Satcom System Engineer will join the department in charge of the development of satellite communication products which are part of the RF chain linking the ground station Antenna (S-Band up to Ka-Band) to its Central Control Station. These include equipment covering a wide span of products such as high-speed data receivers used in scientific missions, telecommand and telemetry baseband modems, RF frequency converters and many others.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for internal planning, elaboration of internal projects and communication with external companies
- Leading work packages in an international context
- Technical leadership role for network management design, DVB-S2x integration including active contribution with technical requirements definition, architectural design, simulations, development of sub-systems, test plans and procedures definition, test support, redaction of technical documents.
- Support business development activities (e.g. redaction of technical proposals)
- Participate in conferences and present technical topics
- Be involved in Defence projects
Must have
- Master / PHD in telecom engineering
- Knowledge and experienced with DVB-S2/S2X (layers 1 & 2)
- Knowledge in Signal Processing Theory (coding, decoding, modulation, demodulation, signal acquisition, filtering, AGC, ADC/DAC, control loops, etc)
- Ability to independently identify work priorities and determine based on operational needs
- Hand-on mindset
- Technical leadership
- Good technical redaction skills (English)
Nice to have
- Knowledgeable and experienced with 5G
- Motivated team player, dynamic, sense of ownership and commitment
- Willingness to travel
- Proven experience in the complete cycle from design up to validation
- Matlab and C/C++ programming skills
